Terms of Use
The agreement for using the Unstuck app and unstuck-adhd.com, including the app's licence and subscription terms
The short version
- These terms cover the Unstuck app and unstuck-adhd.com. They are an agreement between you and Eduard Vlase Limited.
- Unstuck offers practical tools and general information. It isn't medical advice. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything.
- In a crisis, call 999, or Samaritans free on 116 123.
- App subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your iPhone's Settings. Apple takes App Store payments and handles their refunds.
- Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights as a consumer.
This summary doesn't replace the full terms below.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use the Unstuck iPhone app ("the app") or our website, unstuck-adhd.com ("the website"). Together we call them "Unstuck".
They are a legal agreement between you and Eduard Vlase Limited ("we", "us", "our"), company number 16832727, registered office in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. You can email us at support@unstuck-adhd.com.
- By using Unstuck, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
- You must be 18 or over to use Unstuck.
- Unstuck is for your own personal use, not for business use.
- Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your information.
- If you buy something in the app, Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions also apply to that purchase.
Not medical advice
Unstuck is a self-help tool for adults who find starting things hard, including people waiting for an ADHD assessment. Our app, guides and courses share practical strategies and general information.
- Unstuck is not a medical device.
- It doesn't diagnose ADHD or any other condition. Nothing in it is a diagnosis, including the "My story" PDF.
- It doesn't treat any condition. It isn't a substitute for care from your GP, a specialist or another qualified health professional.
- It doesn't give medication advice. For anything about starting, stopping, changing or combining medication, speak to your GP, prescriber or pharmacist.
- Information about the NHS, referrals, assessments and Right to Choose is general, and it can change. Check what applies to you with your GP or your service.
- Wait times in the app are the ones you enter. We don't predict them.
- Ask your GP or another qualified health professional about your health. Don't put off getting help because of something you read in Unstuck.
Unstuck isn't an emergency service, and nobody monitors what you write in it.
Using Unstuck fairly
Please use Unstuck lawfully and fairly. Don't:
- break the law, or use Unstuck to harm or harass anyone;
- try to get into accounts, systems or data that aren't yours, or test or get round our security;
- copy, change, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- scrape or overload Unstuck, or use bots or scripts to use it;
- get round the daily limits, or use the AI features to try to create unlawful or harmful content;
- resell, share or sublicense Unstuck or anything you bought, unless these terms allow it.
If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account. We'll tell you why, unless the law or someone's safety stops us.
Accounts
You don't need an account for most of the app. You need one to back up, and to use steps and sorting by Claude. The website has its own accounts for courses.
- Use an email address you can access, and keep it secure. Anyone who can read your email can sign in.
- An account is for one person.
- You can delete your app account at any time in Me → Delete account and backup. To delete a website account, email us.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel that in your iPhone's Settings.
App licence (EULA)
This section is the end-user licence agreement for the app. It applies together with the rest of these terms. If you got the app from Apple's App Store, these points apply:
- Who this licence is with. This licence is between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- What you may do. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Other accounts linked to the purchaser through Family Sharing or volume purchasing may also use it, where Apple allows. You may not rent, lend, sell or redistribute the app.
- Support. We, not Apple, are responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. Email support@unstuck-adhd.com. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
- Warranty. We are responsible for any product warranties, whether given by law or by us, to the extent they aren't effectively excluded. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to meet a warranty are our responsibility, as set out in these terms.
- Claims about the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with any claims from you or anyone else about the app, or your having or using it. This includes product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property claims. If someone claims that the app, or your having or using it, infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and resolving that claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that the US Government has designated as a "terrorist supporting" country. You also confirm that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Other terms. When you use the app, you must also follow any third-party terms that apply, such as your mobile network's terms.
- Apple's rights. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this licence. Once you accept it, Apple has the right to enforce it against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- Apple's rules come first. If anything in this licence conflicts with Apple's Usage Rules, Apple's Usage Rules apply.
- Our details. Send any questions, complaints or claims about the app to Eduard Vlase Limited, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, or support@unstuck-adhd.com.
Subscriptions and purchases in the app
Plans
- Yearly: a subscription that renews every year. It comes with a 14-day free trial the first time you subscribe.
- Monthly: a subscription that renews every month.
- Lifetime: a one-off purchase that never renews.
The paid plan unlocks steps written by Claude, brain-dump sorting and the "My story" PDF. Before you buy, the app shows what the plan includes and the price you'll pay. Anything marked "coming soon" isn't included yet, and we can't promise when it will arrive.
Free trial
- If you start the yearly plan with a free trial, you pay nothing for 14 days.
- Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it turns into a paid yearly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when the trial ends.
- If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
Automatic renewal
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (a month or a year), unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- We'll remind you 3 days before a free trial ends and before each renewal: with a notification if you allow them, and with a card on the Today screen. These reminders are a courtesy. If you miss one, Apple's billing still applies.
Cancelling
- Cancel in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Unstuck, then Cancel Subscription.
- You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Deleting the app, or deleting your Unstuck account, doesn't cancel a subscription.
Refunds
- Apple processes all App Store payments, so Apple handles their refunds, under Apple's terms. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- We can't issue App Store refunds ourselves. If you get stuck, email us and we'll help where we can.
- This doesn't affect your legal rights.
Lifetime
- Lifetime is a single payment, charged to your Apple ID. It isn't a subscription, so it never renews.
- It gives you the paid plan for as long as we offer the app.
Your account and a new phone
- You can buy without an Unstuck account. When you sign in, we link your purchase to your account. One purchase unlocks one account. If you delete your account, you can link the purchase to a new one.
- If you change phone, sign in to the App Store with the same Apple ID and tap Restore purchases in the app.
Price changes
- We may change our prices. A change never affects a period you've already paid for, or a lifetime purchase you've already made.
- If we raise a subscription price, Apple tells you before it applies and, where Apple's rules require it, asks you to agree. If you don't want to pay the new price, cancel before it applies.
Buying on our website
- Payment. Stripe takes payments on our website. Prices are shown at checkout, in the currency shown there.
- Delivery. Guides and courses are digital. You get access straight away, by download link or in your account. Nothing is posted. Download links have a limit, currently 50 downloads per order.
- Personal use. What you buy is for your own use. Please don't resell, share or redistribute it.
- Your right to cancel. UK law usually gives you 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once the download or access starts, if you asked for immediate access and agreed that you'd lose the right.
- Our 14-day money-back guarantee. Even so, if you're not happy, email support@unstuck-adhd.com with your order details within 14 days of buying, and we'll give you a full refund. We aim to refund within 5 to 7 working days, to your original payment method.
- App Store purchases are separate. A website purchase doesn't unlock the app, and an App Store purchase doesn't unlock website products.
Information and AI suggestions
- We work hard to keep our information accurate and up to date. It is general information, not advice for your situation.
- Some steps, sorted lists and message drafts are written by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. AI can get things wrong or misunderstand. Check anything before you rely on it or send it. You decide what to do.
- The AI features need a connection, have daily limits, and may sometimes be unavailable. When they are, the app uses its own built-in steps where it can.
- Links to other websites, such as ADHD UK, the NHS and gov.uk, are there to help you. We don't control those sites.
Your content
What you write in Unstuck belongs to you.
You let us store and process it only as needed for the features you choose, such as backup, or steps and sorting by Claude. Our Privacy Policy explains how.
Our intellectual property
Unstuck, including the app, the website, its text, designs, guides, courses, logos and software, belongs to us or to the people we license it from. It is protected by copyright and other laws.
We give you a personal licence to use it under these terms. You can't copy, share, sell or adapt it without our written permission, except where the law allows.
Changes to Unstuck and these terms
- We may update Unstuck, change features or stop offering a feature. If a change would significantly reduce what you've paid for, we'll tell you in advance where we can, and you can cancel. For App Store purchases, Apple handles refunds. For website purchases, contact us.
- We may update these terms, for example for new features or changes in the law. We'll update the date at the top. If a change significantly affects you, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. Changes to paid terms apply from your next renewal.
Ending this agreement
- You can stop using Unstuck at any time. Cancel any subscription in your iPhone's Settings, and delete your account in Me.
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first.
- If we stop offering the app, we'll give you reasonable notice.
- Parts of these terms that are meant to last, such as "Our responsibility to you" and "Law and disputes", still apply after this agreement ends.
Our responsibility to you
- If we break these terms, or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. Loss is foreseeable if it's obvious it would happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you agreed to these terms.
- We aren't responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.
- Unstuck is for personal use. We aren't responsible for business losses, such as lost profit, lost business or business interruption.
- If faulty digital content we supplied damages your device or other digital content you own, and this happened because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll either repair the damage or pay you compensation.
- We aim to keep Unstuck available and working well, but there may be interruptions, for example for maintenance.
- We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breaking your legal rights as a consumer.
Your legal rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects these rights. For advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice.
Law and disputes
- If you have a problem, please email us first. We'll try to sort it out quickly.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
- You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring them in Scotland. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can also bring them in Northern Ireland.
Other legal terms
- We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to another organisation. We'll tell you, and it won't reduce your rights. You need our written agreement to transfer yours.
- Apart from Apple, as set out in the app licence, nobody else has any rights under these terms.
- If a court decides that part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- These terms, our Privacy Policy and, for App Store purchases, Apple's terms are the whole agreement between us about Unstuck.
